Highland believes that education is an integral part of our role as an investment consultant and crucial to the success of a long-term investment program. The firm understands that clients may be asked to make many decisions relative to the portfolio, and Highland believes it is necessary for boards to be well-informed. Highland offers training on a variety of investment-related topics, including investment policy (which would include the role of fiduciaries), specific asset classes, asset allocation, analysis of different types of risk, and many other investment related topics. Additionally the firm offers informative resources such as white papers, in which we present our perspectives on industry issues, legislative changes, and investment strategies that may affect an investment program.
Highland hosts several symposia throughout the year highlighting various topics of interest. Every other year, the firm hosts a 2-day client conference that includes roundtable discussions on a variety of asset classes, macroeconomic discussions, and client-specific breakout sessions.
